“That’s When I Find You”

I have had a tough week with my asthma and allergies.  It seems that I had an attack or two every day. Asthma makes you appreciate each breath you are able to take.  During this very hard time, I was also faced with month end business at work. I have been a manager long enough to plan for month end at the beginning of each month. I map out what money we need to make each day, and find a motivating theme to keep the troops heading in the direction of our goals. We sometimes are focusing hourly...

Heaven’s Library

A good man died and went up to Heaven. As he arrived at the pearly gates, Saint Peter himself greeted him whole-heartedly. After a big “bear hug” and kisses on both cheeks, Peter says, “ Welcome to Heaven! Feel free to walk around and enjoy! Make yourself at home. There are no strangers here. He then hands him a map to his mansion. The man is very excited and amazed at how very beautiful Heaven is. It is far more wonderful than he had ever imagined. Enjoy The Journey

We all are assigned one life to live. Some use the analogy that we are dealt cards to play similar to a game of poker. Others say they feel like they are playing a giant and very long chess game.  I like to visualize it as journey along a path. We experience hardship, sorrow and loss as well as love and pure joy. I also use...

What is the reason for Suffering?

There once was a Prince of the desert of immense wealth and influence. He lived in the land of  Uz. He was famous for his integrity, of piety and benevolence. He feared God and avoided evil. He was a good man, who suffered so suddenly that it stunned all that part of the known world. Job had great relationships with his children and raised them to love God. Satan had a conversation with God  about Job’s love for God. Satan argued that Job had never suffered in his life-that was why he...

My glorious day at the beach.

My glorious day at the beach.

My day at the beach has been amazing. There is nothing like strolling along the sand listening to the crashing waves as they caress the shore. I enjoy the sounds the Seagulls make as they glide and dip in search for any tiny morsel of food. The sun shone strong and steady throughout the day which is a rare treat for the Oregon Coast. The wind, although strong, was cool and refreshing. I love the smell of the ocean. All day long, it seemed as if just a few of us… got the inclination to...

Be your self.

Be your self.

With so many roles to play throughout your days, weeks, months and yes even years…it is not always easy to just be yourself! Depending on the situation you are in at the moment…the demand on you may be for you to be in a role that isn’t natural. Maybe you are a boss and in that role you have to have an authoritarian personality. Maybe you are in charge of your kids for the day and you have to switch into grown-up mode. It isn’t always easy to stay in these roles for...
