No one Wins if you give into Depression

No one wins if you give in to depression. It is so important to teach yourself to recognize feelings and get in the habit expressing them daily. Satan will then not have the opportunity to use your hurt, stuffed feelings, to create a nest, from which he can conjure up a tangled web. When he sees a weakness in your heart, he likes to move in and make himself at home, destroying your life. We need to be on guard and not let the devil come in and claim territory that is not his. Our hearts belong...

Don’t burn the bridge!

There once was a young man who was raised in a large family in a small settlement. His family experience much hardship and pain. For as long as he can remember, he dreamed of leaving this small town and exploring the world beyond it’s borders. The town was surrounded by deep crevasses. The only way out  was to cross the narrow bridge spanning the canyon. The bridge had been built long before memory. Although seemingly secure and strong…the bridge had never been repaired to his...

God’s Purpose for our lives

“God will fulfill His purpose for me”. This has been a tough one this year especially for me. I think it has so much to do with having blind faith. I tend to want to see my purpose and witness the results of my efforts. But that is not always possible. We may never know how we have influenced people. Our good deeds my go unnoticed. God is Bigger than we give Him Credit!

Today as I drove home from work…I began thinking about the events of my day and glad that I had accomplished some important things on my list of duties. I realized that I had not coughed as much today as I had this past weekend. I have a chronic  cough that my doctor has given up on trying to help me cure. It has been twelve years and I suffer daily. I started praying in the car that the Lord would please heal my asthma and decided to thank Him for the future healing. As I was thanking...

And the Best of the Three is Love

Everyone tells you that when you love someone with all your heart…the love stays in your heart forever. I personally have found this statement to be true. The emotion of love is amazing. There are all kinds of love. The love of a mother for her children is especially strong. The love from your father and grandparents is deep. The love towards your parents and relatives can help overcome conflicts and adversity. Love of friends can be measured in many different degrees. The love for your...

Face Painting; A lesson learned

Sometimes you can have a really hard day for a variety of reasons. This particular day, I was struggling with the cough that is a result of my asthma. Every time I wanted to get up and accomplish something…my coughing would send me back to the couch with a new cup of hot tea. It was my day off and I had a list a mile long of things to do. Unfortunately I was only able to scratch a couple off that list and I was missing out on a very lovely day. So I gave in…. and tried to rest and sleep...
