Dancing in the Rain

” Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain”. The saying in the photo is so true! We get so wrapped up in surviving the storm and the fortitude of character that was build. We then revile in the accolades of admiration for making it through the storm, which vanishes after a short time. When later we learn that our only task was to dance in the rain and enjoy the journey and the process. We had once again missed a moment we could have had joy in our struggle.

“Consider it all joy, my brethren when you encounter various trials knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without any doubting for one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind”.  James 1: 2-6

I am still learning to dance in the rain of the storm. I am not very good at getting out in the midsts of it. Usually I realize I am missing my moment during the drizzle and I hurry to grasp the joy just as it is about to vanish. I thank God for being a patient Father…because usually I am down on my face asking for His forgiveness for my lack of faith.

It’s nice to know that we are not alone in this life. We have similar experiences with each other and just knowing that brings comfort. Life is basically one challenge or problem after another. We are suppose to solve the problem, learn from it, and move on…because tomorrow will bring another bump in the road that we will need to navigate around. We need to celebrate the struggle and that is hard to do most of the time.
