A passage from my book that might bring you Hope!
Words of encouragement… Paul, the author of Romans, reminds us of the importance of hope in our lives. Romans 8:24-28 NIV ” For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what is seen? But if we hope for what we do not see we wait for it with patience. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. And God searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. We know all things work together for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.”
We need to remember that we have to keep hope alive in our selves. Hope helps us live each day , not knowing what the day, week or even next year is going to bring. God knows our hopes. Paul promises us that the Spirit knows how to tell God what we need in ways that we could never understand let alone express. God can search our heart and know everything that it contains, including wounded feelings, hidden desires, needs for healing and even dreams for our lives. Those deep emotions that we experience again and again as we are wondering why we just don’t get over it all, God understands. We communicate to Him through our emotions. We need to embrace that, even through the entire drama we have experienced, we still can feel and experience emotions. Our emotions tell us that we are still alive. We are still breathing and yes we are still in pain but we are still here and God is not done with us yet! There is still time for God to empower us to understand and grow. page 119
