Hello.
The past couple of years have been pretty crazy in not only America—but in the whole wide world. The pandemic put us all in somewhat of a holding pattern. I kept on teaching art, Bible and Health from 2019-2021. I never stopped teaching but did a lot of online teaching. This learning curve was new and exciting for me and I rose to the occasion. I grew in technology and became a better teacher.
Now it is 2022 and I am still growing in my teaching style and techniques. I am very proud of the Art Department at Columbia Christian Schools. We have had an Art Show for the past 5 years and the students, parents, teachers and staff really look forward to seeing their High school children win prizes and awards. For me it is great to see my students strive to do their very best and learn how to make all sorts of art using all sorts of mediums.
We have another Art Show coming up this May and the students have worked hard on many projects in which they will chose 5 to display. I have my judges lined up anxious to see what Columbia Students have accomplished this past year.
This is our very busy time of the year. Next month it will be full on focus to get their art portfolios put together in a Semi Professional standard. Some of my students are so serious about art–I am in heaven.
So, stay tuned in May when our Annual Art Show will be launched on campus and I will share the winners here on my blog for the very first time.
Check out some of my recent paintings. The one featured on this blog is called The rise of Saturn. One of my latest.
Blessings to you all.
